Improvements to apps, messaging, the surfacing of banking details, flagged payments and more!
Fixes
The KT Kiosk app has been updated to v1.3.18, and is now available for update in both the Google Play Store and the Apple App Store. This update resolves an issue where the app could become unresponsive after the login session timed out, which resulted in a 'white screen' being shown. Additionally, our staff QR code will now appear for all centres, but does not require use if your centre is not using the staff time keeping features in Kangarootime. The addition is for consistency and convenience in our app experience.
The Point of Care app has been updated to v1.1.56, and is now available for update in both the Google Play Store and the Apple App Store. This update includes updates to allow timestamps for all activity notes to be modified!
An adjustment has been made to the calculation of the Kindy Plus automation for Affordability funding to make the funding transactions accurate.
Improvements
Exciting news for Account and and Announcement Messaging lovers - we’ve added the ability to include active links in announcements and account messaging! Now, you can send parents direct, clickable links to any url (or email address) on the web - pointing them towards things like newsletters or resources. The possibilities are endless! And, on the flip side, administrators (with the correct permissions) can now delete announcements and account messages as well. Obviously if a parent has already seen it, we can’t change the past - but deleting will remove the message from their KT Connect app if they try to access it again.
We have added an improvement to the system that will Surface Direct Debit bank details on family accounts. The View payment method option displays the full BSB and Account number of a contact’s bank account and can now be found on the Billing > Overview > Contact bank details row of an account. This is to assist the centre with managing payment actions outside of Kangarootime using those details. For example, family refunds. For more information, please see the Setting up Direct Debit for an Account article, and navigate to View Bank Account Details from the table of contents.
The Debt Report has two new columns:
- Deposits Held – Displays the Deposits held total for each account as at the date the report is run for.
- Payment Method – Does this family have a payment method added on their account?
Bulk sending CWAs was showing an error if a child selected in the batch no longer had an active or future contract. Now when a child does not have a relevant CWA any longer, they will be shifted to Cancel status and the remaining CWAs will send successfully.
We have improved the 30% flag payment check. Previously the check used the two most recently created payments. Now we exclude the transaction that was just created and use the two payments whose process date is earlier than the payment's date.
